thoughts on my husband...

So, the clock says it's 10:22 pm and I am here at home with Jase (well, he's asleep) while Kyle is still at work! He has had a rough last month and I don't want to write too many details, but work today has been really long and stressful.

He is such an amazing husband and father. He knows he has to work, and he puts all of his energy into his job while he is there. I can see that he would rather be somewhere else and doing something that he loves, but this is where we are for the moment. Kyle is so dedicated and has so many goals and ambitions, that I know he will be doing something he loves and still be able to spend lots of time with us. I just finished calling him a few minutes before I started writing, and I told him that Jase was asleep already. He didn't say anything, so I asked if he was okay. I could tell he was tearing up and he was sad that this was the first night he hasn't been home to be able to say goodnight to him before he fell asleep. I of course teared up too...I felt so bad! I don't know if he wants me to write this, but I found it so sweet!

now, sorry to those who read this, but I am taking some time and space to write specifically to my baby...

Kyle - I want you to know that I love you soooo much! You are the best husband and daddy! Thank you for giving Jase and me everything we need and lots of things we want! We appreciate everything you do, for keeping us safe and healthy, for being the provider, and just for loving us! Jase and I always say our morning prayers and pray for you and say thanks that you have a job and are willing to go to work for us! It means a lot! I know that it's not always fun, and that it can be overwhelming and stressful, and we know that you would rather be here at home with us, but I can't tell you enough how grateful we are for you and all that you do! WE LOVE YOU!!!

xoxo

June 15, 2011

Well, there has been lots going on lately and of course, lots of pictures.

Kyle just got promoted at work! It's nice to see that people appreciate his hard work! We are super excited! There has been other stuff going on with him too, but I will wait until he gets sustained and set apart this next Sunday to write it on here! Overall, he is doing well and getting excited for Father's Day! He is an amazing daddy to Jase, and my goodness how that boy is crazy about Kyle! Just a little story... Jase put something in his mouth the other day, and he got mad at me for trying to take it out. I finally put him down on the floor while he was crying so hard, that he crawled as fast as he could from the back hallway to the front door, hoping that his daddy would be coming through it to hold him! It was kind of sad, because Kyle wasn't going to be home from work for another couple of hours, but super cute too! He sure loves his daddy!

Jase is doing very well. He is getting bigger and stronger every day! He is very smart too! He knows a few words in sign language and can communicate with us for the most part what he wants! He loves to have something in his hand, whether it's his blanket or a stuffed animal when he wakes up, to other things that he probably shouldn't have at all! He loves music and dancing. He likes to be chased, of course only if daddy is there to protect him! He is letting go of things now to stand on his own more often, and we think he will probably be walking soon. Jase will also be turning 1 year old in a few weeks! I can't believe it! The time has certainly gone by a lot faster than I realized, but everything has been so exciting and fun!

I have mostly been home with Jase. It's the best! Although, I did join a Zumba class with my friend and we go workout every Mon. and Tues. Dancing is definitely a fun way to exercise. I also have to give a talk this Sunday for Father's Day. I don't like talks, but this one should be pretty good since I have excellent examples of fathers in my life, and I have been doing a lot of reading online and in the scriptures and there are very good examples in those too! I should be writing my talk, but I figured this was a good way to put it off for a little bit! haha!

Anyway, that's it for now. Here are pictures from out life lately! love you all!

Finally...an Update!

Wow! I am a really bad blogger! Sorry about that family! Just a bit of an update on our family...

Jase is 9 months old in 3 days! I can't believe how fast time has gone! He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. He likes to pull himself up onto anything he can reach, which meant we have started childproofing our home! He has recently started getting really attached to us. He does fine with other people, but it's more when we leave the room, he will be crawling right behind us, and if he doesn't see us leave but notices he is alone, he will cry like crazy! This has gotten to be difficult. He is still an easy baby to take care of though. Jase also loves his food. He likes feeding himself his finger foods, especially now that he has his 2 bottom teeth. As you can tell he is still a big boy. I will let you all know exactly how much he weighs and how tall he is after his appointment in a couple weeks, but when we weighed him ourselves, he was over 21 pounds. That's alright though, because I am getting super buff. Yeah right! Well, I know there are lots of things that I am leaving out about Jase, but maybe you can see what he has been up to in the pictures that I am attaching!

Kyle has been doing awesome at his job. He had his performance review a couple of weeks ago and it went really well. He was told that everybody really liked him and his work. They gave him such a good review that he was given the full bonus, and a little raise on top of that! Plus, they told him that they are going to try to get him promoted as soon as possible. I always knew that he was a good worker, but it is always nice to be recognized and rewarded for the job he does. At home, he is starting on a little project that he has been thinking about for a long time. It's pretty time consuming, but I can tell how excited he gets with it. I would tell you what it is, but I don't really know how to describe it. It uses lots of magnets though. Overall, Kyle is doing awesome in everything. He is an amazing husband and awesome daddy! Jase lights up and gets so excited when Kyle comes home from work.

I am still here at home, but this is where I love to be. My day is filled with bottles, changing diapers, Gerbers, naps, and cleaning. It's great. I have been trying to work out more and eat better to get into shape again. So far, in 2 months I have lost about 5 pounds! I even signed Kyle and myself up to run a 5K at the end of the month. I don't think I will run it super fast, but I hope it will inspire me to continue running and hopefully just get better and better. Other than that, not much has changed with me. I love being a wife and mom. It is so fun and rewarding.

Well, here are some random pictures. There are a lot, so I hope you like them! Love you all!
