My Sweet Husband

I asked Kyle if he could run to the grocery store for one thing that I forgot for dinner, and he came back about 45 minutes later with more bags. He said as he was going through the aisles, he decided he wanted to make me a nice dinner. I was so surprised and thought of how wonderful he is. So, the next night, he made dinner and it was delicious. Here are pictures of his dinner!

This was his fettuccine chicken alfredo, with caramelized onions...sooo delicious!

Then he made mini stuffed peppers, he didn't like these very much, but I thought they were good! We also had a salad and toasted bread.

And he made amazing dessert, chocolate covered strawberries! We ate so many of these, there was another plate of extras in the fridge.

The final presentation. (We were given the high chair in the corner from people in the ward, and we have nowhere else to put it...but we know we won't need it for a little while still! Haha!)

The dinner was so amazing, but I think my husband is more amazing for putting this together! He is definitely the sweetest person ever!!!

Kyle's Work Cubicle

Kyle finally got a his own area at work now!!! This is his cubicle! He has been in his new department, kids/boys, for a little while now, but he was in a temporary cube for a few weeks. Once he got into his permanent one, I went in with him on a Saturday to really deep clean it. We took rags and cleaners from home and we even took our vacuum. It was kind of funny at first because I wasn't sure if people were going to be there, but nobody was around us, so we played music on his computer and cleaned away. It was really dirty, and if you know Kyle, he would not feel comfortable and not get much work done with a filthy and dusty work area. It was actually lots of fun for me. I wish I took a before picture so we could compare it, but just picture it super yucky and unorganized.

I went back with Kyle a couple weeks later so we could make it feel more homey, and he also had a lot of work he needed to finish. Cubicles are not very nice. Everything is so dull and gray and everybody's looks the same, so we bought some blue cloth and covered the back boards for pinning papers I have no idea what it's called), and organized his binders and made them all match. I also bought him some filing folders for his drawers, some Kleenex, and hand sanitizer. The next Monday, I sent him with three picture frames that he set on one of the shelves. I wish I took pictures with those in there, but he says he likes it tons now and really likes to look over at the pictures, and he wants more. It's really fun to decorate cubicles, and it's nice to know that he feels more comfortable and is able to get his work done.

His awesome name tag outside his cubicle

Right after we finished cleaning! Finally!!!

These are of the binders we organized. Kyle made those awesome labels. They have the Payless logo and the black binder even matches with a black label! He thinks of everything! The top shelf is where he has his pictures now, too.

This was lots of fun for us! It was a big deal!!! Now you can all see where Kyle works!

Pregnancy Update

Okay, everybody! I am sooo sorry that I keep forgetting to update you all on everything. First, I will let you all know how the pregnancy is going. It's going great!! I am doing well. Every time we go to the doctor, they tell me everything is looking perfectly with the baby and me and they are happy with how well all is going. That of course makes us very happy. The baby is growing very well and we are just so excited to finally have him here! But there is still about 2 1/2 months left. Here are the latest pictures from the last few weeks. Sorry they are so late, I will try to be better.

You can really only see it for the first minute, so you don't need to watch anything after that, it's kinda' boring! But, I still get fascinated when I see him move! Here you go!

Ultrasound Pictures and Pregnancy Update

Well, most of you already know that we found out about a month ago that we are going to have a baby boy! Kyle and I are just so excited, and we can't wait to start getting lots of baby stuff. Thanks to Kyle's mom, we received a package from her in the mail and got some cute onesies and a super soft blanket! Some members from our ward are probably going to be moving over the summer so they gave us some of the bigger items like a crib, that Kyle is fixing up (I'll show some before and after pics later), stroller, car seat, and other items that will definitely come in handy. We just need to figure out where put everything right now. I keep looking online for cute baby things, so I am pretty excited to get everything ready!

The baby is moving around quite a bit. He is going to be an active kid, but that is a good thing! Kyle put his head on my belly last week and I told him to be careful or else the baby would kick him. Then, the baby kicked him in the head! We laughed about it. We'll try not to make this a habit!

We have been having a good time out here in Kansas. I still wish we could be closer to our families, but we are making good friends and are enjoying this time and experience. I just can't wait to see some family once the baby comes, I need company.

Anyway, the baby is healthy and everything is going well as far as the doctor can tell, and we feel so extremely blessed! Thanks to everyone for being excited with us! Here are some pics of the ultrasound images they gave us. I hope you like them.

There you have it, the nurse labeled it for us...it's a BOY!!!

Valentine's Day Weekend!

Since Valentine's Day landed on a Sunday this year, we decided to celebrate it over the entire weekend, and stay in on Sunday! On Friday, Kyle got home later than usual because he had to stay at work and fill out some sort of compensation report or something like that, and then once he came home, I had his present ready for him right when he walked in the door. It wasn't much, but he loved it. I made him a card, and then I got him some yummy chocolates and a stuffed bear. He has a collection of stuffed animals that others have given him, and I think this was the first one I ever got him. Anyway, I also made some V-Day cookies. After he opened it all, we went to dinner at Red Robin to have burgers and smoothies! Yummy!

On Saturday, we were invited by friends in our ward to go over for a fondue night. It was sooo good!! We were there with another couple also, and then we played a game, I think it was called Like Minds, and Kyle and I won!!! I can get a little competitive, but it was a fun game.

Yesterday, Valentine's Day, Kyle woke me up with breakfast and a card he had written. This card had a #1 on it, and little did I know he was going to give me a total of 10 cards throughout the day! On each one it started out saying, "OH, HOW I LOVE YOU . . . ON THIS VALENTINE'S DAY LET ME COUNT THE WAYS." So all the cards had things that he loves about me, and they were all so sweet. He is always so amazing at what he does, and I love him so much!!! Here are a couple of pictures.

Here is the card and envelope I made for Kyle . . .

and these are the 10 cards Kyle gave me!

This weekend was tons of fun! I love Valentine's Day, but honestly, I always feel like it is Valentine's Day here with Kyle!

xoxo
