Valentine's Day Weekend!

Since Valentine's Day landed on a Sunday this year, we decided to celebrate it over the entire weekend, and stay in on Sunday! On Friday, Kyle got home later than usual because he had to stay at work and fill out some sort of compensation report or something like that, and then once he came home, I had his present ready for him right when he walked in the door. It wasn't much, but he loved it. I made him a card, and then I got him some yummy chocolates and a stuffed bear. He has a collection of stuffed animals that others have given him, and I think this was the first one I ever got him. Anyway, I also made some V-Day cookies. After he opened it all, we went to dinner at Red Robin to have burgers and smoothies! Yummy!

On Saturday, we were invited by friends in our ward to go over for a fondue night. It was sooo good!! We were there with another couple also, and then we played a game, I think it was called Like Minds, and Kyle and I won!!! I can get a little competitive, but it was a fun game.

Yesterday, Valentine's Day, Kyle woke me up with breakfast and a card he had written. This card had a #1 on it, and little did I know he was going to give me a total of 10 cards throughout the day! On each one it started out saying, "OH, HOW I LOVE YOU . . . ON THIS VALENTINE'S DAY LET ME COUNT THE WAYS." So all the cards had things that he loves about me, and they were all so sweet. He is always so amazing at what he does, and I love him so much!!! Here are a couple of pictures.

Here is the card and envelope I made for Kyle . . .

and these are the 10 cards Kyle gave me!

This weekend was tons of fun! I love Valentine's Day, but honestly, I always feel like it is Valentine's Day here with Kyle!

We Just Had to Get Out!!!

Well, the other night Kyle and I were so super bored and felt like we were just being lazy. Kyle decided that we should get something to eat and felt that we should put on crazy hats. He chose mine, and I chose his. Luckily, we only went through the drive-thru instead of going inside somewhere, but this is what we looked like.

Kyle looks like a sailor in the last pic. He makes me laugh! I think he got his hat in Australia, maybe, and mine used to be Heathers. Hope you enjoyed our randomness!

New Pregnancy Pics

Well, here are some pictures of me from the past two weeks. I have been feeling much bigger now, and I don't know how my stomach is going to stretch any more than it already has. It's pretty crazy! How did you do it, Mom? You're my hero!!

17 Weeks

18 Weeks

I didn't realize just how much my shirt on the last picture was sticking out on the bottom, I have to go shopping for new shirts. Anyway, I will be going in for my ultrasound on Wed. 02/25/10, and we will be finding out whether the baby is a boy or a girl!!! We are super excited, and you will be getting a call from us right when we find out! Thanks for all your love! xoxo

My Sleepy-Head After His First Day of Work

I forgot that I wanted to post these pics up earlier, since last week was was Kyle's first week at his new job. I went to take a picture of him Monday morning before he left for his first day of work, but the camera died! Then, I was going to take a picture of him once he got home while he was still dressed up and looking sharp, but he went straight to the bedroom to get comfy! So, I decided I would still take a picture of him, but this was the only one I could get! He was so tired! We only got about an hour of sleep the night before so he passed out on the couch real quickly! He is so cute! Anyway, I just thought this was fun! This was pretty much how every day last week went!

Also, I was so excited once the week was over and the weekend was coming because Kyle gets the weekends off! I made this silly sign for when he walked in the door and I wrote him a note! He thought it was fun! Every day I look forward for the weekends because I miss him so much! Once Monday morning comes around, I am already counting down until Friday evening!

Topeka and Kyle's Job at Payless

So, we moved out here to Topeka, KS almost a whole month ago. It was nice because we were able to get settled and unpacked before Kyle had to start work and we were able to drive around and see what there is in this city...we found out that there isn't much! It is still really nice though and the people here are really friendly. Anyway, we have been liking it.

Kyle was able to start work this week. He is going through training for the first 10 weeks! I can't believe it takes that long. He thinks it is going to be a good job, he just feels like the days are so long. He has to go to lots of meetings every day and he says the day can feel like it drags on and on. When he was working at Chili's, he would sometimes be working longer days and more hours, but it did not feel as long because the job was fast-paced and he was constantly moving, which he likes. He'll get used to it. Once the training is done, he will be able to do his actual job and I think he will feel like he is doing more than just sitting and listening to presentations.

Because Kyle is working at the Payless Corporate Offices, he is able to take the sample shoes, bags, and accessories that they throw out when they are done, and bring them home. The sample shoes are only size 6, which is just my size, so I feel pretty lucky to get some. This week, he has been working there for only 5 days, and I already have 5 new shoes and a new bag. What is funny is that Kyle only got me 2 pairs and the bag, and a friend that we met from church who also works there, picked up the other pairs of shoes from the pile of samples and gave them to Kyle to give to me. Here are my new pairs of shoes, and I may have to send some home because I do not know what I will where all of these with. I like them though, so mom and sisters with size 6 feet, get ready because you may be getting some new shoes really soon!

Kyle got these shoes for me his second day. They went to Kansas City to observe different stores and he went into a Payless store out there. With his discount, he got them for only $6.

Kyle was given $20 to spend when he secret shopped at another Payless store here in Topeka on his third day working, he got these and the bag below for me because there was a bogo sale. He looked for himself, but wasn't able to find anything he liked.

These last three pairs of shoes were from a guy that works with Kyle that we know from our ward at church. He and his wife invited us over for dinner this past Sunday and they are both really nice. They also went to BYU! He figured that since Kyle doesn't know where the sample pile of shoes are, he would get some for me. I don't mind.
