My Sleepy-Head After His First Day of Work

I forgot that I wanted to post these pics up earlier, since last week was was Kyle's first week at his new job. I went to take a picture of him Monday morning before he left for his first day of work, but the camera died! Then, I was going to take a picture of him once he got home while he was still dressed up and looking sharp, but he went straight to the bedroom to get comfy! So, I decided I would still take a picture of him, but this was the only one I could get! He was so tired! We only got about an hour of sleep the night before so he passed out on the couch real quickly! He is so cute! Anyway, I just thought this was fun! This was pretty much how every day last week went!

Also, I was so excited once the week was over and the weekend was coming because Kyle gets the weekends off! I made this silly sign for when he walked in the door and I wrote him a note! He thought it was fun! Every day I look forward for the weekends because I miss him so much! Once Monday morning comes around, I am already counting down until Friday evening!

Topeka and Kyle's Job at Payless

So, we moved out here to Topeka, KS almost a whole month ago. It was nice because we were able to get settled and unpacked before Kyle had to start work and we were able to drive around and see what there is in this city...we found out that there isn't much! It is still really nice though and the people here are really friendly. Anyway, we have been liking it.

Kyle was able to start work this week. He is going through training for the first 10 weeks! I can't believe it takes that long. He thinks it is going to be a good job, he just feels like the days are so long. He has to go to lots of meetings every day and he says the day can feel like it drags on and on. When he was working at Chili's, he would sometimes be working longer days and more hours, but it did not feel as long because the job was fast-paced and he was constantly moving, which he likes. He'll get used to it. Once the training is done, he will be able to do his actual job and I think he will feel like he is doing more than just sitting and listening to presentations.

Because Kyle is working at the Payless Corporate Offices, he is able to take the sample shoes, bags, and accessories that they throw out when they are done, and bring them home. The sample shoes are only size 6, which is just my size, so I feel pretty lucky to get some. This week, he has been working there for only 5 days, and I already have 5 new shoes and a new bag. What is funny is that Kyle only got me 2 pairs and the bag, and a friend that we met from church who also works there, picked up the other pairs of shoes from the pile of samples and gave them to Kyle to give to me. Here are my new pairs of shoes, and I may have to send some home because I do not know what I will where all of these with. I like them though, so mom and sisters with size 6 feet, get ready because you may be getting some new shoes really soon!

Kyle got these shoes for me his second day. They went to Kansas City to observe different stores and he went into a Payless store out there. With his discount, he got them for only $6.

Kyle was given $20 to spend when he secret shopped at another Payless store here in Topeka on his third day working, he got these and the bag below for me because there was a bogo sale. He looked for himself, but wasn't able to find anything he liked.

These last three pairs of shoes were from a guy that works with Kyle that we know from our ward at church. He and his wife invited us over for dinner this past Sunday and they are both really nice. They also went to BYU! He figured that since Kyle doesn't know where the sample pile of shoes are, he would get some for me. I don't mind.

Pregnancy Pictures

So here are some pictures I have been taking over the past few weeks. I have been feeling a lot bigger, and I think you can tell in these that I have been getting bigger also. Everything has been going well with the pregnancy. I haven't had any problems, just getting a little morning sickness, but no throwing up, I just feel nauseous. I hope that leaves soon though! Well, going by what the doctors have said, I am about 16 weeks, so here are the pics!

16 weeks

15 weeks

Anyway, I'll be posting more as I keep getting further along. I just really wanted everybody to see since I am not close to anyone else, and Kyle and I want to share this time with all of you. Love you!

Kyle...always trying to be funny!

So, one day Kyle asked me if I wanted a bowl of cereal, and I told him just a little bowl. He took that very literally and came back with a very "little bowl." He sure got me there! We definitely got a big laugh out of it though!

Trip to Washington

Kyle's younger brother, Brian got married August 22nd in the Portland, OR temple, so we went up to visit with his family in Washington for a few extra days. It was really nice to get away from Utah for a while before school started up again. We enjoyed our little break, even though it was really busy with family and of course the wedding and reception. It was still lots of fun. I really enjoy Kyle's family. They are so nice. I love his little cousins too. I don't know why, but they always want to hug me and they tell me they love me all the time! They are all awesome! This Christmas we are going to Washington again, since last year we went to Colorado with my family. This gets pretty tough to have family in two different states! Each wants us to go there, especially for Christmas time, but we gotta' do what we gotta' do! Haha. I'm sure it will be awesome!

Anyways, here are a few pictures that Kyle and I took while we were in Portland. While Brian and his new wife, Kimberly, were getting their pictures taken, Kyle and I decided to have our own little photo shoot. Enjoy!

I forgot to mention that while we were in Seattle, and we were helping chop food for the wedding reception, Kyle cut his finger and we went to the Emergency Room to get it checked out. It wasn't as bad as we thought, thank goodness, but it sure did scare us. This picture is later that day when we was helping with food again, but not chopping. He put on the gloves so his bandage wouldn't get wet. He is so funny! Now, if something is good, he'll use his normal thumb to give a "big thumbs up!" and if it is not as good, he'll use his cut thumb give a "little thumbs up!" haha...fun times!

P.S. Today is my parent's 28th anniversary, so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Mom and Dad. WE LOVE YOU!!!
